Completion...just about!

We did it! We received our certificate of occupancy and now have a mortgage. Two key pieces of paper signifying that the project is done. Yay!

We wanted to send out a big thank you to Ryan, Tim, and Tim's crew at Big Valley Builders.  Amazing job! If you can share a meal at the end of a four year home building project with your architect and contractor, you know that you have had the opportunity to work with incredibly patient and talented people. You guys rock.

Below are a few photos of the finished product, but you can also check out a number of great images our architect Ryan Stephenson recently took here - Stephenson Design Collective

A flash back to framing days...

And now the photos...this first group is of the living room.

Here are a few pics of the kitchen and dining room.

Master bathroom.

This one is of the media room. Still need the subwoofer, but otherwise fully operational :)

This is the guest bath.

Here are a couple of shots from our neighborhood that remind us why we built our cabin in the Methow.

Lights

We are really happy with the pendant lights we picked out for over the kitchen island. Their clean lines are exactly what we were hoping for. We feel pretty fortunate with how the lighting fixtures turned out in general--especially since we picked them out months ago and sorta forgot about them until we saw them installed. Nice surprise! We didn't waste any time putting them to use.

The stairway pendant consists of hand-blown glass globes. Tim was very patient with us as we had him lower and raise the globes a number of times to get them just right. We were on the road before nightfall the day this was installed, so we can't wait to see this one at night.

We can't stop gushing over how well the stairs and railing turned out.

The fireplace is still missing the metal surround; however, that didn't stop us from using it. Temperatures dipped pretty low on our last trip to the Valley. Fortunately, this stove puts out a lot of heat and was able to warm up the living room and kitchen areas quickly. And it looked cool!

The stacked tile in the guest bathroom turned out well.

The cabin has a nice glow at night.

This is a picture of Goat Peak that we took just before a ski out at Base Camp. It was a beautiful day.
